Disclosed is a transfer(1) to change a drive mode between a front wheel drive mode and a rear wheel drive mode within a 4 wheel drive gear of a car. In the apparatus, a spline shaft(4) is formed through the inner portion of an input shaft(3) for an effective connection between the transfer(1) and a transmission(5). A lower gear(7) is installed in the transfer(1) instead of a high gear(120). Thereby, the power loss and noise can be reduced.
