Switching cabinet monitoring system

The system has at least one controller (3) per switching cabinet for assemblies within the switching cabinet and assemblies mounted on it. Each controller and each server (5) are connected via a network (1) to a management processor (7). The controllers are coupled via additional connections (2,11,14) to the management processor and via at least one connection (9,10) to the servers. If the network fails, data exchange between the controllers and the management processor is conducted via the additional connections.
