Structure which makes it possible easily to fit and remove the metal frame sliding nozzle plate. The sliding nozzle plate which is used in a sliding nozzle device secured to a molten metal vessel (boiler) has a sliding surface and is surrounded by a metallic covering with the exception of the sliding surface. The metallic covering has a projection or plurality of projections of a special shape on the surface of the plate opposite the sliding surface, and a metal frame in which the metal-coated plate which is to be fitted has a plurality of concave portions which correspond to the projection or projections of the metallic covering, in such a manner that the metal-covered plate can be fitted and removed from the metal frame easily and precisely by means of fitting and removing the projection or each one of the projections into and from each one of the concave portions of the metallic frame. <IMAGE>
