Method for regeneration of automotive clutch

Clutch linings (7,8) are held by a spring (5) against a clutch housing (1) and are held in place against a rest-plate by a locking fixture (4). The clutch efficiency is restored following wear by removing a thickness (X) from the rest-plate surface, corresponding to the thickness of clutch lining wear. The clutch housing is then pressed in towards the press-plate (3) at the same height as the press plate by the same dimension (X) in a circular pattern. The clutch housing has a circular groove (9), with location drill holes (10) for the membrane spring in the groove-base.
