This invention concerns an eye type bearing (1) with at least one bearing housing (2) and one spherical cap-shaped bearing body (3) which seats in a spherically curved bearing socket (4). This eye type bearing (1) is characterized by the fact that both the bearing socket (4) and the bearing body (3) are made of plastic. The eye type bearing is produced using the so-called over spray process. The invented process provides for the bearing body (3) to serve as the form tool for producing the bearing housing (2).
