PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means which automatically switches constituent equipment from an active unit to a stand-by unit if the system becomes abnormal. SOLUTION: Odds information, etc., is transmitted from a display server 1 to a teletext signal generator 3 through a LAN 11 and converted into a teletext signal, which is superposed on a carrier by a modulator 8 and transmitted to an odds printer 9 through a cable TV network 13, thereby obtaining printed transmit information, etc. The active teletext signal generator 3 receives the information from the display server 1 through a control part 2. A stand-by teletext signal generator 6 which is provided in parallel is connected to the display server 1 through a control part 5. If the display server 1 detects abnormality of communication with the control part 1, it sends an active indication signal to the control part 5. The control part 5 sends a switching control signal to a switch 4 to switch the output from the output of the active teletext signal generator 3 to the output of the stand-by teletext signal generator 6. |
