PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly inject an electrolytic solution into basic cells provided in the capacitor main body of an electric double layer capacitor. SOLUTION: The capacitor main body 15 of an electric double layer capacitor has an inlet 16 for injecting an electrolytic solution 23 into basic cells set in a plurality of frame-like gaskets laminated in parallel with each other through the inlets of the gaskets. The inlet 16 has a wide opening area surrounding the inlets of all gaskets. The solution 23 is injected into the basic cells by dispersedly supplying the solution 23 to the inlets of the gaskets from the inlet 16 of the main body 15 by setting the main body 15 in a vacuum vessel 17 with the inlet 16 on the downside and evacuating the vessel 17 to a vacuum, and then, injecting the solution 23 into the evacuated vessel 17 until the inlet 16 of the main body 16 is submerged in the solution 23. |
