PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a low hygroscopic shaped aluminosilicate excellent in pigment properties and operating efficiency in compounding in a resin or a coating material by baking a synthetic A type or PC type zeolite and providing a nepheline type or a carnergieite type crystal structure. SOLUTION: This cubic or spherical shaped aluminosilicate comprising a shaped grain having 0.5-30μm average grain diameter, a chemical composition represented by the formula [(m) is 0.9-1.1; M is Na, K, Ca, Mg or Zn; X is the valence of M; (n) 1.9-3.6] and further a nepheline type or a carnegieite type crystal structure is obtained by baking a synthetic A type zeolite at 1.9-2.2 molar ratio of SiO2 /Al1 O3 , or a synthetic PC type zeolite at 2-2.3 molar ratio of SiO2 /Al1 O3 , at 1800 deg.C. The shaped grain has characteristics of 0.3-0.8g/cm<3> apparent specific gravity, <=50mL/00 g oil absorption volume, 1.46-1.56 refractive index and <=1% moisture absorption by exposure in an atmosphere at 90% relative humidity and 20-25 deg.C temperature for 48hr.
