DYE ACCEPTIVE ELEMENT FOR THERMAL DYE TRANSFER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye acceptive element for thermal dye transfer which shows only a slight curling tendency and a high color concentration and further, a uniform image appearance. SOLUTION: This dye acceptive element comprises a support, a composite foil and a dye acceptive layer. The composite foil includes two or more thermoplastic surface layers on the surfaces of the side of a thermoplastic core layer and the dye acceptive layer. In addition, a carrier is a paper with a density of 0.8g/cm<3> or less, or a base paper coated with polyethylene or polypropylene including the dye acceptive layer and a polyolefin coated paper support with a density of 0.8g/cm<3> or less.
