<p>The manufacturing method of a container of a given shape involves comminuting (21) the husk into powder form and mixing (31) it with adhesive in a predetermined ratio to provide a paste (32), which is formed into a blank (320). The blank is then shaped with a die assembly (51,52,61,62,71,72) and dried (82). A protective coating is applied (90) to the shaped product and finally the coating is dried (101) to provide the container. The husk powder is mixed with edible, non-toxic and water-disoluble adhesive in a ratio 88-92% to 12-8% in weight, while introducing steam at a pressure of 7 lb/cm2 into the paste. The paste is formed into a blank sheet 0.7mm thick by passing it through rollers, and the blank is then folded over itself to provide a four folded lamination. The lamination has a loose structure to allow the paste material of the sheets of the lamination to flow and fill into cracks that are formed on the product in the shaping step to provide a smooth surface product.</p> |
