PURPOSE:To change dies without using a moving bolster. CONSTITUTION:A used die 4 is held by a die holder 8 provided in a slide 3, and the die 4 is raised by the slide 3. In this state, a carrier truck 10 mounted with a die 4' to be used next time is carried into a press body 1, and after the used die 4 is mounted on this carrier truck 10, the truck 10 is moved so that the die 4' to be used next time may be in a lower part of the slide 3. Then, after the die 4' to be used next time is held by the die holder 8 and raised by the slide 3, the carrier truck 10 mounted with the used die 4 is carried out from inside the press body. Thereafter, the slide 3 is lowered to fix a lower die 4b to a bed 1a and an upper die 4a to the lower face of the slide 3. Thus, since the die 4 can be changed by using the carrier truck 10, a moving bolster large in size and heavy in weight is unnecessitated, thereby the overall height of the press body is made low. |
