PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ceramic fiber having excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance and damage tolerance and a ceramic based fiber composite material using the same (which can be used in the part requiring the resistance to heat and oxidation and damage tolerance). SOLUTION: This ceramic fiber contains C, O and B and the contents of C, O and B are 26-33wt.%, 1.0-13wt.%, and 0. 01-l.0wt.%, respectively and the remaining other than these elements is Si in which the weight ratio of C to Si is >=0.43. This ceramic fibers are used to constitute a composite material, which is used as gas turbille parts. |
