PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle safety belt winding device small in breadthwise dimension at low manufacture cost by simplifying structure. SOLUTION: A webbing winding rod is composed of a bobbin 9 supporting one terminal part of webbing and a shaft 11, which has a latch plate, axially supported into the supporting hole of a base so as to be freely rotated and axially supporting the bobbin 9 through a hollow part 10 of the bobbin 9 so as to freely rotate it and between the shaft 11 and the bobbin 9, an energy absorbing member 12, which can be continuously bent, is interposed. |
