The present invention provides a ring ON/OFF group allocating & interrupting method for a general single-ling telephone. Specifically, this method prevents all the general single-ling telephones from simultaneously being turned ON by controlling ring ON/OFF in single-ling telephones installed as a key-phone system of an exchanger using public telephone network. In order to keep all the single-ling telephone from ring-ON at the same time, each subscriber is managed by three groups not to make more than 1/3 of subscribers' telephones ring-ON at the same time. This technique lets the telephones ring without delay by allocating a group at the point of ring-ON, thus reducing the load of the system power and ringing delay time of maximum 3 seconds to 1 second.
