PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect speedily and accurately ion with a wide range of concentration, in particular with high concentration, by adding one or more voltages less than minimum value of a limit current voltage for detected ion between a current-detection-type ion-selecting electrode and its opposite electrode in an inspected sample liquid. SOLUTION: A current-detection-type ion-selecting electrode 21 has an ion sensor 23 and an electrode 28 in a glass tube 24 whose bottom end is covered by a hydrophilic semi-permeable membrane 25, and a part of the electrode 28 is soaked into water phase portion 27 of the ion sensor 23. Its opposite electrode 22 is wound around the glass tube 24, for example spirally. The electrode 21, its opposite electrode 22, a general purpose voltammetry device 61, and a recorder 62 are connected, and a part of the electrode 21 and its opposite electrode 22 is soaked into an inspected sample liquid 64 containing a detected ion. The voltammetry device 61 adds one or more specific voltages (calibration curve for the detected ion is linear) less than minimum value of limit current voltage for detected ion between the electrode 21 and its opposite electrode 22, and response current is detected. |
