PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method by which a status of processing of an electronic document is retrieved even when the user is not a user processing the electronic document. SOLUTION: In the processing of an electronic document, when a history for processing of a preset kind appears in a history storage section 20, a history management processing section 24 copies the history part, and a transmission reception section 26 sends the copied history to other computer. Upon the receipt of the history copy from other computer, the received history is stored in the history storage section 20, and when tracing of a position of the electronic document is instructed, a retrieval processing section 22 conducts retrieval processing within the histories stored in the history storage section 20. Since copies of history of other servers are provided to each server in this way, other users than the user processing the electronic document retrieve a status of processing of the electronic document. |
