A dispersed polymer composition prepared by dispersing a polymer with a gel content of at least 50 % in an organic dispersion medium with a boiling point of 80 DEG C or above under the pressure of 760 kgf/cm<2>. The composition is suitable for use as a battery binder composition and batteries produced therefrom have large initial capacitances and are reduced in capacity lowering.
