The closure (10) comprises a pair of permanent magnets, which are fitted inside a two-part enclosure. One magnet (13) is countersunk into a first enclosure part (11). The other magnet (18) is fitted into the other enclosure part (12) and protrudes out of it by the recess distance (40) in the first enclosure part. The first enclosure part surrounds the protruding magnet, so that the closure is secured both by positive-locking and actuated by the attraction of the two magnets. A metal plate (21) may be fitted instead of the countersunk magnet. The closure faces (23,25) of the two enclosure parts may be provided with an annular interlocking groove (22) and flange (24).
