PURPOSE:To obtain an ink jet recorder capable of efficiently removing unnecessary liquid drops, such as ink mist, which are not used for recording but generated for recording. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet recorder is provided with a positive electrode 51-1 and a negative electrode 51-2 which are provided so as to attract unnecessary ink delivered from delivery ports of recording heads 1Bk, 1y, 1m, and 1c; and dc power sources 57-1 and 57-2 for applying voltages of different polarities to the positive electrode 51-1 and the negative electrode 51-2. |
