A device for open or closed loop control of several functional blocks (5) in a car consists of a fluid pressure source (10) supplying the blocks, adjustment element blocks (8) which are adjusted by electrically activated adjustment organ blocks (7), sensor blocks (6) to detect data on the actual state of the adjustment organ blocks and/or the adjustment element blocks and finally a databus (3) to transmit data and addresses to and from a central control unit (2) to the functional blocks. The databus is a bidirectional optical bus. In the central control unit the actual-state data are evaluated, with subsequent generation of position data. The data and their addresses are applied to the databus. Coupling and decoupling of the data and addresses between the databus and the functional blocks take place through bus couplers (4).
