The invention is a locking mechanism in rear gates of trucks to provide convenience utilizing a simple and convenient handle. The device comprises a hand panel(34) on one end of the side gate(12); a handle (34) in the center of the handle panel(34); a lock(38) in the rear gate(14); a grip(22), a fastener(24), and a hinge shaft(26) on the handle(34); a guide(28) that houses the hinge shaft(26); a stopper(32) in the body of the handle (34); and a spring(30) before the stopper(32). The handle rotates on the axis of the hinge and also slides transversely to engage or release the rear gate lock.
