Head support for motor vehicle seat

The seat has a backrest (4) which extends upwardly via a head rest (5) with a front face (6) and lower (7) and upper (8) sections. The head rest has an inner frame (14,18) which has lower (16) and upper (15) sections. The frame is pivotally mounted longitudinally between two angular stop positions. The support pivots around a horizontal axis (9) which is adjacent the upper part of the frame and which is carried by at least one rigid rod (11) fixed to the back. The rod extends downwardly from the head rest and into the seat back. The rest is held in a selected position by lock (20,21) with sections attached to the backrest and head rest respectively.
