PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silylenol ether derivative useful as a synthetic intermediate, etc., in high yield by using a readily available and handleable reagent by reacting a specific carbonyl compound with an aminosilane and an organohalogen compound. SOLUTION: A carbonyl compound such as acetone having hydrogen atom on carbon atom atαposition of carbonyl group is reacted with an aminosilane represented by formula I [R is H, a 1-10C (substituted)monovalent hydrocarbon, etc.; R<1> is a 1-20C (substituted)monofunctional hydrocarbon, etc.], e.g. diethylaminotrimethylsilane and an organohalogen compound such as methyl iodide represented by formula II [R<2> is a 1-10C (substituted)monofunctional hydrocarbon; X is iodine or bromine] to provide the objective silylenol ether derivative.
