PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed lead-acid battery of which cost can be reduced even in the case of providing a safety valve. SOLUTION: The inside of a battery jar 1 is partitioned by bulkheads 2 so as to be formed into a plurality of battery jar chambers 3. Each recessed part 6 is provided for a battery jar inner lid 4 at a position where each bulkhead 2 exists, in response to the respective battery jar chambers 3 adjacent to the bulkheads 2. Valve holes 7 are opened at the bottom part of each recessed part 6 respectively so as to be communicated with the respective battery jar chambers adjacent to each bulkhead 2. A common valve cylinder 8 is erected from the bottom part in the inside of the each recessed part 6 while these valve holes 7 are enclosed. A partitioning wall 12 partitioning the inside of the valve cylinder 8 is provided for the inside of the valve cylinder 8 while being extended from each bulkhead 2. Bursting nicks 13 are provided for the tip end parts of the valve cylinder 8 respectively in response to the respective valve holes 7. The tip end part of the valve cylinder 8 is covered with a cap-shaped valve element 9 in order to shield the respective bursting nicks 13. A battery jar upper closure 10 is fixed to the entrance of each recessed part 6 for the battery jar inner lid 4 in a state that the valve element 9 together with the valve cylinder 8 are held together. |
