PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a problem of air storage in an ink jet printer. SOLUTION: An ink jet printer has a replaceable print cartridge 14 to be inserted into a scanning carriage 13. An ink tube 23 is extended from the carriage to a separate ink supply container 18 disposed in the printer. Pressure in the tube effectively becomes substantially the same as circumferential pressure by another valve between the tube and the container. Thus, moisture loss and air suction into the tube are minimized, and how the air in the tube is expanded, it is prevented from being arrived at the container. |
