PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a character or graphic by using an ink jet printer on any material. SOLUTION: A coating layer 18 which can absorb ink droplet is formed on a surface of a stainless steel plate 10 to be printed, and a character or graphic is printed on the layer 18 by a nozzle 16 of an ink jet printer 20 based on information stored in a computer 22. Thus, the layer 18 which can absorb the ink droplet is formed, and hence the character or graphic can be printed even on any material by using the printer. |
