The invention concerns an autonomous and portable cabin for cleaning animals, in particular domestic animals, comprising: a chamber (2) for cleaning the animal (1), one side (15a, 64) of which at least can be opened for the animal to enter and leave; means for cleaning and drying the animal; means for the self-cleaning of the cleaning chamber (2) once the animal is out of the chamber (2); means for commanding and automatically controlling (22, 27, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48) the cleaning and self-cleaning means based on a programmable system (27) controlled by the user, and means for trapping (33) the products and waste matters resulting from the cleaning and self-cleaning connected to a sewerage system (5). The means for cleaning and drying the animal are handled by the user, the side of the chamber remaining open during the cleaning and drying operations and closed during the self-cleaning.
