PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high corrosion resistant alloy used, e.g. for a boiler steel tube for use in equipment where fossil fuel or wastes are burned and used as an energy source, a steel tube using the same, and its production. SOLUTION: This alloy has a composition consisting of <=0.05% C, 1.0-2.6% Si, 0.02-1.0% Mn, 20.0-28.0% Cr, 18.0-30.0% Ni, <=4.0% Mo, <=0.05% Al, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and containing, if necessary, <=0.4% Nb. Further, the double layer steel tube is produced by using this alloy as a linear material and also using a standardized boilder steel tube as a base layer material. This alloy has corrosion resistance in the desired service environment and also has high usability even if used for monolayer and double layer steel tubes. |
