SELECTIVE HERBICIDES BASED ON ARYLSULPHONYLAMINOCARBONYLTRIAZOLINONES

New herbicidal active substance combinations consist of (a) an arylsulphonylaminocarbonyltriazolinone of formula (I), in which R<1>, R<2>, R<3> and R<4> have the meanings given in the description, and/or a salt of a compound of formula (I) ("active substance of group 1"); and (b) one or several compounds from a second group of certain known herbicides ("active substance of group 2"). These combinations show synergistic effects at certain weight ratios and may be used as selective herbicides in various useful plant cultures. Typical examples are active substance combinations of the Na salts of the compounds of formula (I) wherein R<1> = CH3, R<2> = OC3H7, R<3> = COOCH3, and R<4> = H(I-1) or R<1> = CH3, R<2> = OCH3, R<3> = OCF3 and R<4> = H(I-2) as active substance of group 1 and metribuzin as active substance of group 2.
