PURPOSE:To obtain a detergent compsn. which is transparent and solid, is uniform in shape, hardness, and easiness to dissolve and disintegrate, gives a cleaned item an elegant hand, foams well even in hard water, and does not generate scum by compounding a specific amphoteric surfactant, an anionic surfactant of a carboxylate type, a nonionic surfactant, and a polyhydric alcohol. CONSTITUTION:This compsn. comprises at least one amphoteric surfactant (A) selected from surfactants of formulas I, II, and III [wherein R1, R2, and R5 are each 7-21C alkyl or alkenyl; R3 and R4 are each lower alkyl; R6 and R7 are each lower alkenyl; A is lower alkylene; M is an alkali or alkaline earth metal or an org. amine; Z is H or (CH2)pCOOY (wherein p is 1-3; and Y is the same as M); and n and m are each 1-3], at least one anionic surfactant of a carboxylate type (B), at least one nonionic surfactant (C), and a polyhydric alcohol (D) in a wt. ratio of A:B:C of (5-20):(40-90):(5-55) and in an amt. of D of 5-35wt.%. |
