The present invention pertains to an air brake system (1) comprising brake circuits (I, II) provided with modulating pressure valves (17, 18, 33, 34) for modulating the brake pressure adjusted in the brake cylinders by a service brake valve (12). Furthermore, on both brake circuits (I, II) there is a stop valve (24, 40) for regulating the brake-air pressure through a shuttle valve (14, 30). The air brake system (1) further presents an electronic controlling apparatus (43) with wheel speed sensors (21, 22, 37, 38), a steering angle sensor (44) and a yaw rate sensor (45) mounted thereon . The electronic controlling apparatus (43) enables the signals from the above-mentioned sensors (21, 22, 37, 44, 45) to be assessed, the modulating pressure valves (17, 18, 33, 34) to be activated and the stop valves to be actuated for ensuring anti-wheel lock, traction-slip control and dynamic driving.
