<p>The present invention provides novel methods for stimulating proliferation in auditory receptor epithelium. Administration of agents that activate cAMP production result in demonstrable regeneration of hair cells in the cochlea. These agents may be administered in vivo to restore hearing loss or balance loss in patients in need of such treatment.</p> |
