<p>The invention relates to a conveyor belt (1) comprising a plurality of link elements (2) which are coupled pair-wise to each other by means of a hinge (13,14) extending in transverse direction, which hinge (13,14) comprises at least one hinge pin (4) present on the one link element (10) and extending transversely of the longitudinal direction (3) of the conveyor belt (1) and a plurality of eyes (5) present on the other link element (14) which engage round said hinge pin(s) (4) and are correspondingly registered such that the conveyor belt (1) is bendable in transverse direction relative to the principal plane (3) of the conveyor belt (1), wherein the eyes (5) in the principal plane (3) of the conveyor belt (1) have an enlarged dimension such that the conveyor belt (1) is also bendable in its principal plane (3) and wherein at least a number of link elements (2) at equal mutual pitch distances have on at least one free side end zone a drive protrusion (6) which is adapted to co-act with a drive, for instance a drivable toothed wheel or a drivable chain (17).
