When a user places a disk on a tray and pushes in, a key word part(124) discerns the sorts of the disk. If it turns out to be an audio disk or a graphic disc, it lights up a CD indicating lamp among a disk indicating lamps(104) and displays the total number of the songs on a music number display part(102). After which when the key word control part(124) switches the audio and video selectors(136,166) to the CD mode, a control part(146) displays blue picture instead of the initial picture. When the user presses the selection up/down key or play-back key, the control part(146) displays the selected music number, marks disk rotating status onto the music number display part(102) and performs play-back operation to output a play-back audio signal.
