PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the communication system with a voice operated transmitter(VOX) processing to reduce power consumption more in which generation of background noise is conducted the same as that of a conventional method so as not to cause an unnatural speech at a receiver side without conducting processing by a transmitter side in the conventional method. SOLUTION: In the case of coding a signal from a transmission terminal by a voice coding section 13 after CH decoding by a transmission section 12 in a base station, a silence mode information generating section 14 discriminates sound/silence data and when the data are silence data, the silence mode information generating section 14 generates silence mode information and transmits it. A silence mode information detection section 23 at a receiver side discriminates whether data decoded by a reception section 22 are silent data or sound data, and when the data are silent data, a noise generating section 25, generates a noise signal, and the decoding of voice is stopped during the time. The generated noise is outputted to a reception section 27 by using noise around the reception terminal. |
