<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a load from being imposed on a power supply unit so as not to disconnect a power supply unit from an equipment main body by a method wherein a mechanical connecting means which is used for keeping an electrical connection to act on the power supply unit so as to give resistance to it in a direction which the power supply unit is pulled out and located nearly at a middle point between an input and an output when the power supply unit is mounted on the equipment main body. SOLUTION: In a condition that a power supply unit 2 is mounted on an equipment main body 1, a holding pawl 7 is engaged with a holding groove 8 provided to the equipment main body 1 to hold the power supply unit 2. At this point, the holding pawl 7 is formed of elastic material and moved upward, so that the power supply unit 2 is easily mounted with a small external force. Holding mechanisms 7 and 8 are located nearly at a point intermediate between an AC inlet and a DC terminal, even if a power supply cord 6 is pulled out with a small force, the power supply cord is not disconnected from the equipment main body 1. When the cord 6 is pulled with a larger force, the holding pawl 7 is moved upwards, whereby the power supply unit 2 itself is dismounted. By this setup, an external load can be prevented from being imposed on a power supply unit so as not to disconnect the power supply unit from an equipment main body.</p> |
