PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor which eliminates the twist whirling of a crankshaft and has lower vibration by arranging a balance weight while taking in consideration the twist whirling rate of the crankshaft in the clearance of a crank bearing part. SOLUTION: A crankshaft 6 is supported by a crank bearing 4 being a sliding bearing and an auxiliary bearing 5 being a rolling bearing, and when a refrigerant is compressed in a scroll compressor by the driving rotation of the crankshaft 6, gas force Ft is applied always in a perpendicular direction to an eccentric direction. At this time, if there is a clearanceσbetween the crank bearing 4 and the crankshaft 6, the crankshaft 6 is slewed and moved in the crank bearing 4 by gas force Ft and the centrifugal force Fb1 of a main balance weight 8. Namely, the crankshaft 6 executes precession motion twist whirling around Om larger by the half of the clearanceσ. Then, the mass mb1 and mb2 of the main and auxiliary balance weights 8, 9 and distance eb1 and e2b from an axial center O are determined while taking in consideration the twist whirling of the crankshaft 6 in the clearanceσ.
