PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a desired illuminance over a scanning direction of an original read face by opposing point light sources with each other, while being curved in a concave face with respect to the original read face, when a plurality of the point light sources emit the original read face in the scanning direction. SOLUTION: The reader is provided with a point light source board 18 on a flexible planar board 17 of which a plurality of point light sources 16 are arranged in a line, and a mount curved concave part 19 at an angle of 90 deg.±5 deg. in an original read face emission direction of the point light sources 16 and opposed to the original read face curved in a concaved shape is formed, when the point light source board 18 is mounted and the point light source board 18 is curved and fitted to the mount curved concave part 19, to make the point light sources 16 at both the ends approach the read face of the original B. Thus, the work performance for mounting a plurality of point light sources 16 onto the read face of the original B in a curved state of the concaved shape is improved.
