PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain accurate tracking control by providing grooves of magneto- optical recording media which are capable of land/groove recording and MSR reproducing with 0.047 to 0.10λ/n phase depth. SOLUTION: When pit depth is >=30nm, C/N of pit generative signal of >=51dB is obtained. Further, when the pit depth is 20nm, C/N is 48dB, but is sufficient value to detect a sector head. Thus, a magneto-optical recording disk which is simply and easily manufactured, gives enough C/N and is capable of attaining accurate tracking control can be obtained by forming depth DP of a pit 13 and depth DG of a groove to the same extend within a range of 20 to 40nm.
