PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cleansing composition having good stability and use property, refreshing feeling, wet feeling and smoothness by combining potassium salt of a higher fatty acid with a specific ampholytic surfactant and specific high-molecular weight silane in specific amounts. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by combining (A) (5-30wt.%) high- purity potassium salt of fatty acid with (B) (2-20wt.%) alkyldimethylaminoacetic acid betaine and (C) an emulsion of high-molecular weight silicone represented by the formula [R1 is methyl or phenyl; R2 is methyl or OH; (m) is 800-5,000 91476/28}, obtained by emulsion polymerization and having 0. 25-30μm average particle diameter (in an amount of 0.01-10wt.% as high-molecular weight silicone). For example, coconut oil fatty acid potassium salt, palm oil fatty acid potassium salt or the like is preferably used as the component A. The blend weight ratio of the component A to the component B is preferably in the range of (5/) to (1/1). The composition has good foaming power, detergency and foam quality.
