PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To input and edit the disk name or track name of a mini disk by using a personal computer and, at the same time, to easily input and edit the name by using Katakana (Japanese syllabary). SOLUTION: A mini disk recording/reproducing device 100 is connected to a personal computer 101 through a serial interface 50 and a name list 54 containing character information to be recorded on a U-TOC is provided. When character information is inputted from a keyboard 106 by using Romaji, the character information is stored on the name list 54 after prescribed codes are respectively added to the front and rear sides of the Romaji by means of a code converting section 58. The information on the list 54 is displayed on a display after the information is converted into Katakana by means of another code converting section 55. |
