PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently roast meat, by quickly detecting temperature through the temperature-detecting characteristic of a hot plate for roasting meat, made of a temperature-detecting metal and concentrating heating power. SOLUTION: A plate 14 for roasting meat is made of a temperature-detecting metal shown by Fe1-x-y -Nix -Cry , Fe1-x Nix , or Ni1-x Cux . Curie point can be adjusted in a wide range like -20 to 600 deg.C by the x, y values. When the temperature of plate for roasting meat exceeds the Curie point, as the inductance decreases abruptly, the collector current Ic increases. It is confirmed that the temperature of the plate 14 for roasting meat has reached the Curie point through a controller 30 which has received information showing Ic current from an Ic current detector. The controller 30 which has received the information, controls to shorten the ON time of a switching element 8 and lessens the electric power applying current to a heating coil 5. |
