SUBSTANCE: top part of main circulating pump 4 is joined through gas-disposal piping 14 to gas-disposal piping 11 of cold vertical header 10 of steam generator 5; gas-disposal piping 11 incorporating shut-off valve 12 communicate with steam space 8 of pressurizer 6. Shut-off valve 12 is normally closed in case of pressure drop due to main circulating pump 4 when it is operating and normally open in absence of pressure drop due to main circulating pump 4. Entire route of pipelines 11 and 14 should be upgrading without forming water seals; therefore, when main circulating pump 4 stops running, steam-gas mixture, if any, goes from main circulating pumps 4 and cold vertical header 10 to steam space 8 due to hydrostatic pressure in pressurizer 6.
