FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: method deals with plasty of a defect by making a fragment of anterior capsule with its bottom towards rupture area followed by its directing into basal iris coloboma with subsequent fixation, cataract extraction and implantation of artificial lens. Lens is used to have diametrically situated supporting elements to be oriented with its larger axis parallel to fragment's bottom. The height of a fragment is three forth of crystalline lens diameter, and its bottom does not exceed three eighth against the length of crystalline lens equator. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
