The invention relates to a sauna stove or a sauna stone compartment and a water-containing system belonging thereto. The form of the stone compartment metal mantle is that of a pentagonal prism, at least at the top. The sauna stove is placed in the corner of the sauna room, so that the front of it is at an angle, e.g. 45 degree, to the walls of the sauna room. Closely coordinated with the sauna stove there are one or two separate, vertical water containers which most suitably have a triangular, prismatic form. These have at least one acute angle and are provided with a hinge device, which makes it possible for the water container to be rotated into contact with, or away from, the stone compartment cover. The bearing part of the hinge may be fixed either to the stone compartment cover or to the sauna room wall. The combined projection of the sauna stove and water container system into the sauna room at floor level closely resembles a triangle. By adjusting the gap between the sauna stove and the water containers it is possible to affect either the temperature of the sauna bath water or the heating of the sauna room when the air circulates as a convection flow through this gap. The sauna stove and water containers may be so designed that the mantle over the stone compartment is for the most part covered, which means that the sauna stove's outward thermal radiation is prevented. The cover of the stone compartment thus needs no special thermal insulation. <IMAGE>
