SOUND REDUCING DEVICE FOR GAS FLOW PASSAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound reducing device for gas flow passage which is capable of reducing the noises of a broad frequency band with a low pressure drop without upsizing the whole of the device. SOLUTION: A plurality of sound reducing bodies consisting of air permeable ceramics having fine pores are installed in juxtaposition apart prescribed intervals in mid-way of the gas flow passage so as to partition the gas flow passage and the inner walls of the gas flow passage between the sound reducing bodies are provided with acoustic materials so that the sounds can be reduced while gas is allowed to pass.
