The system for positioning a scanning head (7) in a housing (1), carries a holder (5) for the scanning head (7). This is adjustable relative to the housing across an adjusting unit, in an adjusting direction along an adjusting path (f) between an original position (fo) and a maximum displacement position (fmaximum). Two spring carrier strips (2,3) are arranged in a movement direction at a distance (H), and parallel to each other, with their end sections (10) rigidly fixed at the housing. Their end sections (11), lying on the housing side, are located movable at the housing. The intermediate space (L) between the rigid fixing and the movable location is freely adjustable. The holder is designed as a transverse web (5) arranged between the carrier strips, connecting in the centre of the bridge intermediate space (L). The adjusting unit includes a rotatable eccentric part, which is used to enable the holder to be adjustable along the displacement path.
