PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light emitting device in which a light control sheet stuck to the surface of a light transmission plate is not stripped off even when a temp. change occurs frequently. SOLUTION: In a structure in which a light control sheet 5 is stuck to the surface 10 of a light transmission plate 4 by a transparent adhessive member 6, the light transmission plate 4 is formed to be a shape in which the thermal capacity of the central part is smaller than that of side parts. Since followup abilities of the light transmission plate 4 with respect to the temp. change are entirely homogeneous, the light transmission plate 4 can entirely thermally shrink similarily with the light control sheet 5 and the light control sheet 5 is not stripped off from the light transmission plate 4 even when the temp. change occurs frequently.
