The device has a U-shaped rigid section (12), and a flexible section (36) for covering a flange (4) of a rail (2). Locking units (24) have a horizontal flange (26) with a threaded base (28) for receiving a bolt (44) whose one end acts on the flange (4), and a vertical flange (30) supporting against openings (18) and acting on the flange (4). The openings are provided on sides (14) of the section (12).
