<p>A reversible mower blade (10), comprises an elongated central portion (12) integrally joined at its opposite ends to respective end portions. The central and end portions are disposed along a common longitudinal axis and each end portion includes an outer segment and a contiguous inner segment. The outer segments (16,18) are twisted equally in opposite senses relative to the central portion about the longitudinal axis. The inner segments (20,22) are twisted equally in opposite senses relative to the central portion about the longitudinal axis, the inner segment of each end portion being twisted about the longitudinal axis in opposite sense to the twist of its respective outer segment. The end portions include edge surfaces on opposite sides of it extending towards the central portion, the edge surfaces being sharpened so as to form cutting edges on the opposite sides of each of the end portions. The outer segments are twisted approximately 15[deg]-45[deg] about the longitudinal axis. The inner segments are twisted approximately 2[deg] -25[deg] about the longitudinal axis.</p> |
